Coffee Kombucha Recipe

Coffee Kombucha Recipe


  • 2 Quarts (1.8L) of Plain Brewed Coffee
  • 1/2 Cup Sugar
  • Kombucha Scoby


  1. Freshly brew plain coffee before commencing.
  2. Whilst hot, pour in sugar and allow it to dissolve.
  3. Allow the coffee to cool down to room temperature.
  4. Use a filter or strainer to separate the coffee grounds from the dissolved coffee liquid.
  5. Transfer coffee liquid into a jar or container.
  6. Add in kombucha scoby to the coffee liquid and tighten or close lid of jar or container.
  7. Allow fermentation process to begin leaving the kombucha out of direct sunlight, at room temperature for at least 7 days.
  8. After fermentation, taste kombucha and ferment further according to personal taste. Otherwise, pour and serve.
