Ginger, Turmeric and Lemongrass Kombucha Recipe

Ginger, Turmeric and Lemongrass Kombucha Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 Lemongrass Stalk
  • 1-Inch Piece of Ginger
  • 1- Inch Piece of Turmeric
  • Kombucha

Method

  1. Make an unflavoured standard kombucha following our recipe.
  2. Peel ginger and slice into thin pieces.
  3. Peel turmeric and also slice into thin pieces.
  4. Flatten lemongrass stalk and cut into small portions, roughly 2-inch pieces. Dispose of leafy green parts.
  5. Mix ginger, turmeric and lemongrass in a container or jar.
  6. Pour in unflavoured kombucha into the container or jar containing the mix of ginger, turmeric and lemongrass.
  7. Close the container or jar used and allow for fermentation process to begin. This process should last for a minimum of 2 days, but can be extended depending on personal preference. Ensure enough space is left at the top.
  8. After fermentation, strain and serve. Otherwise, store in fridge.

Note: Consume within a week, as the taste starts to alter and becomes sour.
